Los Angeles based artist Dianna Cohen has used the single-use plastic bag as her primary art material since the 1990s, when the use of plastic bags was at it's height. Her collage work juxtaposes themes of consumerism and consumption with the bright and colorful textures of plastic. Dianna has had numerous exhibitions, appeared on TED talks, and is an active member in the environmental community. She is also the founder of Plastic Pollution Coalition. Founded in 2009, the coalition of more than 400 member organizations and individuals seeks to cut down on the use of plastics in our daily lives.
